​One of the first steps in ensuring that your representatives know how you feel is to write them a letter.  There are debates about whether email or mail is more effective. One thing is for certain; A letter has zero impact if it's never sent.  So, go with the method that gets you to act.  

To make things easier for you, we've found a template for you to send to your representatives.  We've even listed your representatives (well, at least for Contra Costa County) and the websites for the various cities to make it easier for you to find and to contact them.
